இலங்கையில் நடக்கும் கொமன்வெல்த் மாநாட்டை புறக்கணிக்க வேண்டும்: பிரதமரிடம் வாசன் வலியுறுத்தல்

இலங்கையில் எதிர்வரும் நவம்பர் மாதம் நடைபெற உள்ள கொமன்வெல்த் மாநாட்டை இந்தியா புறக்கணிக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் பிரதமர் மன்மோகன் சிங்கிடம் மத்திய கப்பல் போக்குவரத்து துறை மந்திரி ஜி.கே. வாசன் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்.

மத்திய கப்பல் போக்குவரத்து துறை மந்திரி ஜி.கே.வாசன் இன்று டெல்லியில் பிரதமர் மன்மோகன் சிங்கை சந்தித்தார்.

அப்போது, இலங்கை கடற்படையினரால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள இராமேஸ்வரம் மீனவர்கள் 19 பேரை விடுவிக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்று பிரதமரிடம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்.

மேலும் தமிழக மீனவர்கள் மீது, இலங்கை கடற்படையினர் தொடர்ந்து நடத்தி வரும் தாக்குதல்களை தடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றும்,

இலங்கையில் நடைபெற உள்ள கொமன்வெல்த் மாநாட்டை இந்தியா புறக்கணிக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் பிரதமரிடம் வாசன் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்.

அவரது கோரிக்கையை பரிசீலனை செய்வதாக பிரதமர் மன்மோகன் சிங் உறுதி அளித்துள்ளார்.

The Shipping Minister G K Vasan, on Friday declared that they were not in favour of India attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Sri Lanka.

Minister Vasan met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at New Delhi today and urge to take necessary steps to release 19 Rameshwarm fishermen  recently arrested by the Lankan Navy in the mid sea. Minister further stressed Prime Minister to stop attacks carried out by the Lankan navy against Tamil Nadu fishermen.
