No cyber security measures for Lankan sites: SLCERT|CC [ Tuesday, 05 March 2013, 03:36.17 AM GMT +05:30 ] The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team | Coordination Centre (SLCERT|CC) said the non-implementation of the most basic cyber security measures was a major contributing factor behind the escalation in incidents of website hacking reported in the country. SLCERT|CC Information Security Engineer Roshan Chandraguptha said in most of the hacking incidents had taken place because of a reported lack of proper content management systems. “If the operating system and the software used to create the website are promptly updated and the security systems are checked for vulnerabilities, there will be little need to worry about a site’s security. இலங்கையில் இருந்து செயற்படுகின்ற அரசாங்க இணையத்தளங்களுக்கு அடிப்படை சைபர் பாதுகாப்பு முறைமை இல்லாமையாலேயே அவை அடிக்கடி இணையவழி தாக்குதலுக்கு உட்படுத்தப்படுவதாக தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.

கணனி அவசர மறுமொழி மையம் இதனைத் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

அதன் விசேட பொறியியலாளர் ரொசான் சந்திரகுப்தா இது தொடர்பில் கூறும்போது, இலங்கை அரசாங்கத்தின் பெரும்பாலான கணனிகளுக்கு அடிப்படை பாதுகாப்பு நிலைமையேனும் வழங்கப்பட்டிருக்கவில்லை என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

அண்மைக்காலமாக பங்களாதேஸின் ஒரு குழு, இலங்கையின் அனைத்து அரசாங்க இணையத் தளங்களையும் முடக்கி இருந்ததாக அவர் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்

இந்த நிலையில் சகல இணையத் தளங்களுக்கும் சைபர் பாதுகாப்பு வசதிகளை வழங்க வேண்டும் என்றும் அவர் வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.
