இலங்கை அரசாங்கத்தின் சார்பில் பெருந்தோட்டத்துறை அமைச்சர் மஹிந்த சமரசிங்க இந்த அறிக்கையை சமர்ப்பித்தார். அதன் பின்னர் பல நாடுகளும், அமைப்புக்களும் தங்களது கருத்துக்களை வெளியிட்டிருந்தன.
திருகோணமலை ஐந்து மாணவர் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்ட சம்பவம் குறித்தும் இதன் போது கருத்து வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. கொலை செய்யப்பட்ட மாணவர் ஒருவரின் தந்தையான டொக்டர் மனோகரன் தனது மனக் குமுறலைத் வெளியிட்டு, கூட்டத்தில் கதறி அழுததாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.
இலங்கை தொடர்பில் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட காலக்கிரம அறிக்கை தொடர்பில் எதிர்ப்புக்கள் உண்டா என கேள்வி எழுப்பப்பட்டது. எனினும், இதன் போது எவரும் மறுப்பு தெரிவிக்கவில்லை எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.
இந்தக் காலக் கிரம அறிக்கையில் இலங்கையும் ஏனைய நாடுகளும் சில திருத்தங்களை செய்திருந்தமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 Universal Periodic Review report on SriLanka accepted at the UN Human Rights Commission session in Geneva. |
Minister of Plantation Industry Mahinda Samarasinghe submitted this UPR report to session. Later on several countries and organizations expressed their views about the report.
During the time of session officials commented on killing of five students in Trincomalee area. Dr.Manoharan father of the one victim express his reaction on this alleged murder.
Countries fail to oppose the UPR report. SriLanka and several other nations implemented changes in the report.
