போர்க் குற்றச் செயல் குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை நிராகரிக்கின்றேன் - சரத் பொன்சேகா!

ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் மனித உரிமைகள் மாநாட்டில் இலங்கை இராணுவத்துக்கு எதிராக முன்வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள போர் குற்றச்சாட்டுகளை முன்னாள் இராணுவத்தளபதி சரத் பொன்சேகா நிராகரித்துள்ளார்.

கொழும்பில் இடம்பெற்ற செய்தியாளர் சந்திப்பின் போது அவர் இந்தக்குற்றச்சாட்டை அவர் மறுத்துள்ளார்

சர்வதேச சமூகத்தினால் சுமத்தப்படும் போர்க் குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை முற்று முழுதாக நிராகரிக்கின்றேன்.

இவ்வாறான குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களுக்கு எந்த சந்தர்ப்பத்திலும் பதிலளிக்கத் தயார்.

போர்க் குற்றச் செயல்கள் இடம்பெற்றதாக குறிப்பிடும் சர்வதேச சமூகம், எப்போது எங்கு அவை இடம்பெற்றன என்பதனை சுட்டிக்காட்டவில்லை.

படைத் தளபதியாக செயற்பட்ட காலத்தில் இராணுவத்தின் ஒழுக்கத்தையும், கௌரவத்தையும் பாதுகாத்தேன்.

இறுதிக் கட்ட போரின் போது சரணடைந்த புலி உறுப்பினர்கள் பாலியல் ரீதியாக துன்புறுத்தப்பட்டதாக சுமத்தப்படும் குற்றச்சாட்டுக்கள் அடிப்படையற்றவை.

குற்றச்சாட்டுக்கள் சுமத்தப்படும் காலத்தில் நானே படைத்தளபதியாக கடமையாற்றினேன்.

எனவே இந்தக் குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களுக்கு பதிலளிக்கும் பொறுப்பிலிருந்து விலகிக்கொள்ள முடியாது என அவர் சுட்டிக்காட்டியுள்ளார்.

கொழும்பில் நடைபெற்ற செய்தியாளர் சந்திப்பில் அவர் இதனைக் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

போர்க் குற்றச் செயல் குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை நிராகரிப்பதாக முன்னாள் இராணுவத் தளபதி சரத் பொன்சேகா தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

இராணுவத்தினர் மீதான மனித உரிமைகள் குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் அடிப்படையற்றது என்று அவர் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

இலங்கை இராணுவத்தினரால் தடுத்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த பெண்கள் துன்புறுத்தல்களுக்கு உட்படுத்தப்பட்டதாக, மனித உரிமைகள் கண்காணிப்பகம் அண்மையில் அறிக்கை ஒன்றை விடுத்திருந்தது.

இதனை அரசாங்கம் நிராகரித்திருந்த போதும், முன்னாள் இராணுவ தளபதி என்ற அடிப்படையில் தாம் இந்த குற்றச்சாட்டுகளை நிராகரிப்பதாக சரத் பொன்சேகா தெரிவித்தார்.

Fonseka denies war crime allegation​s [ Thursday, 07 March 2013, 04:35.58 AM GMT +05:30 ] The former Army Commander and Chief of Defence Staff Sarath Fonseka denies all the blamed made on the war crime allegation in SriLanka at the UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva. Speaking at media briefing in Colombo Fonseka said that his troops hadn’t been responsible for rights violations during the final phase of the conflict. Commenting on specific allegations regarding mass rape of surrendered LTTE women cadres, the war veteran insisted that it was nothing but a lie. Gen. Fonseka said that the country was at the risk of being isolated internationally due to failure on the part of the incumbent administration to address issues raised by those wanting to haul Sri Lanka up before an international war crimes tribunal. The US had changed its position on post-war Sri Lanka, Gen. Fonseka said, adding that the second US resolution on Sri Lanka at the ongoing UNHRC sessions would reflect the hardening of their approach. India, too, was now likely to go against Sri Lanka, the former army chief said. Although government leaders had been boasting of a counter offensive in Geneva, they did nothing but running away when UNHRC Navy Pillay called them for a meeting.
