Muslims at Vavuniya staged protest against TNA

Muslims at Vavuniya staged two different protests against Tamil National Alliance activities in the district.  However all the protesters finally gathered in front of the GA office.

Protesters blamed members of TNA hopes to create separation among Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim communities in the district. They also alleged once again TNA members willing to upraise terrorism in the district and requested people work against this. This protest campaign was organized by the Union to create ethnic unity among people in the district. Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim community people were present at this protest and raised various slogans against Tamil National Alliance. During the time of protest heavy traffic jam reported in the Vavuniya-Mannar, Vavuniya-Jaffna main roads. End of the protest protesters handed over petition towards GA. This protest was organized by the government supporters, sources said.
